Crystal Palace 'will consider selling' star defender Marc Guehi to Tottenham if they receive a big offer, according to reports.

The Lowdown: Spurs eye new centre-back...

The north Londoners and manager Antonio Conte are thought to be eyeing the addition of a centre-back this summer with reports suggesting it is a top priority.

Spurs didn't add a fresh option during the January transfer window, and with Clement Lenglet's loan from Barcelona coming to an end this season, it is a position they need to address.

Guehi, who would also count as homegrown, has been linked before with a report from The Daily Mail sharing an update on their interest.

The Latest: Palace 'will consider selling' Guehi...

It is reported by the outlet and journalist Sami Mokbel that Tottenham are 'ready to explore' their interest in the England international.

Guehi, who has been described as hugely important to Patrick Vieira's side, is a wanted man at Spurs and Palace 'will consider selling' their centre-back for a 'big offer'.

It's added that the Eagles 'could be tempted' to offload with bids in excess of £45 million potentially being enough.

The Verdict: Perfect man?

The 22-year-old as caught the eye of Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate over this past 12 months and we believe he could be perfect for Spurs.

Homegrown and able to strengthen balance their quota in that regard, Guehi has starred for Palace under Vieira - playing the most league Premier League minutes of any outfield Palace player (WhoScored).

Guehi's also averaged more blocks per 90 than any Palace player and ranks just behind Joachim Andersen for successful clearances (WhoScored).

He's also been called an 'absolute tank' and 'massive' by members of the England Under-21 squad in recent seasons and that physicality will be a big attraction for Conte.

At just £45m, his age, the fact he is homegrown and Guehi's obvious quality make this move a no-brainer for Fabio Paratici.
