Tottenham could turn to Eintracht Frankfurt boss Oliver Glasner as a replacement for Antonio Conte if he leaves, according to reports.

The Lowdown: Conte exit looming?

The current state of play suggests Conte may well be on the way out at the end of this Premier League season, with there seemingly being little appetite to extend his deal.

Conte's contract expires this year, and while Spurs do have the option to further his contract by an additional 12 months, it has been claimed that he is keen on a return to Italy.

Many managers have been linked with the potentially vacant post this summer, including former Spurs boss Maurico Pochettino who is currently a free agent.

The Latest: Spurs could turn to Glasner...

According to a report by The Daily Mail, Eintracht manager Glasner, a season after his side won the Europa League, may 'emerge' as an option to succeed Conte.

The Austrian comes as a new name to be mentioned alongside Nottingham Forest boss Steve Cooper, who also has admirers within Spurs.

The Verdict: Good option?

While we believe Pochettino, who already knows Spurs and has proven experience in England, is currently their most viable option - Glasner may well be a sound alternative to the Argentine.

The 3-4-2-1 boss has enjoyed a brilliant stint at the helm of Eintracht, clinching them Europa League glory last year at the expense of Scottish giants Rangers.

The numbers also suggest that Glasner would bring an entertaining brand of football to north London with Eintracht proven to be lethal in front of goal.

Indeed, only Bayern Munich, RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund have scored more than Eintracht this Bundesliga campaign with Glasner's side standing out as Germany's fourth-highest goal scorers.

The 48-year-old also encourages a direct and lethally quick brand of football according to scouting sites and we believe he could bring a level of excitement.
