Writing for football.london, reliable correspondent Alasdair Gold has tipped Jose Mourinho to unleash Tanguy Ndombele in a tactical masterstroke – going on to claim he can ‘wreak havoc‘ against Arsenal tomorrow afternoon.
Ndombele, who was largely out of favour under Mourinho last season, with past reports surfacing that he didn’t want to play under him anymore, has now turned a corner at Hotspur Way – with the Frenchman arguably up there alongside the likes of Harry Kane, Heung-min Son and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg for Spurs’ player of the season so far.

Ndombele tipped to wreak havoc
The 23-year-old has been a mainstay for Tottenham this season, governing the midfield with skill and flair whilst providing that extra degree of creativity behind a front trio of Kane, Son and the rotating Gareth Bale/Steven Bergwijn.
A club record signing, Ndombele was once in danger of seeing his Spurs career falter, but after a hugely impressive start to the campaign, he appears to be slowly justifying his £53.8 million price tag.
Now, Gold has tipped Mourinho to unleash Ndombele has the real catalyst for Spurs’ hopeful victory at home to Arsenal – telling fellow journalist Chris Wheatley that he is a ‘game changer‘ and could have a ‘massive’ impact.
Transfer Tavern take
As the significance remains on Kane and his fitness levels, coupled with the electric form of Son, Gold believes that Ndombele could be Spurs’ true secret weapon ahead of a highly anticipated first north London derby of the season.
It remains to be seen whether he does in fact ‘wreak havoc’ against Arsenal, but you wouldn’t bet against it after this start to the season.
