Writing for Calciomercato, Italian source and journalist Pasquale Guarro has broken a midweek twist out of Tottenham with chairman Daniel Levy now dealt an Antonio Conte worry.

The Lowdown: Conte drops exit hint...

The Lilywhites' topsy-turvy run of form continued against Brighton on Wednesday evening as Spurs comfortably strolled to a 2-0 win at the Amex Stadium.

Goals from Cristian Romero and Harry Kane made it four wins out of their last eight Premier League matches with the other four ending in defeat (Transfermarkt).

Conte recently hinted to the press that he could leave Spurs if the club fail to match his ambition with Guarro now sharing what is another pretty big worry midweek.

The Latest: Guarro breaks twist...

As per his information, the Italian is now flirting with the idea of joining Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain as they 'already' start contacts.

Conte is said to be 'far from opposed' to the notion of signing for PSG and could even 'leverage the desired clause in his contract' which would allow him to leave Spurs at the end of this season.

Guarro goes on to state, in this scenario, that Tottenham and chairman Levy would be powerless to stop his exit.

The Verdict: Major worry...

Conte has won major silverware at almost every club he has gone to with his behind-scenes training methods and intense style of play a real highlight of his management style.

In terms of elite coaches, there are few anywhere near the 52-year-old's level, so losing him would be a pretty big blow for Levy and the club.

The only silver lining to this potentially worrying development is the mooted return of ex-fan favourite Mauricio Pochettino if Conte does leave, with The Telegraph recently reporting that the Argentine is number one on Levy's list of alternatives.
