Tottenham Hotspur have been contacted about the availability of 18-year-old Borussia Dortmund striker Youssoufa Moukoko.

The Lowdown: Tottenham's Moukoko interest

It was reported back in November that Tottenham had sent scouts to watch Moukoko compete against Borussia Monchengladbach in the Bundesliga, with the club on the hunt for a new striker in the January transfer window.

With the German's contract set to expire in June 2023, transfer guru Fabrizio Romano indicated that English clubs are 'ready to push' for him in the January window, and Spurs are seemingly one of these potential suitors.

The Latest: Tottenham contact

90min have now reported that Tottenham have been informed about the forward's wish to leave BVB in 2023, although they will have to fend off interest from all across Europe if they are to secure his services.

Chelsea seem to be ahead in the race, having contacted the player's representatives, while Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool and Barcelona are all also named as interested parties.

The Verdict: Generational talent

Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici may find it very difficult to lure the starlet to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, as he is quite simply a generational talent, who will have a plethora of good offers from all across Europe.

Manchester City star Erling Haaland was the youngster's former teammate at Dortmund, and he described him as the 'biggest talent in the world' after seeing his Bundesliga debut at the age of just 16 years and one day, setting a new record.

The Cameroon-born marksman's goal figures at youth level were quite simply frightening, netting 46 goals and eight assists in 25 appearances in the U-17 Bundesliga West in 2018-19, averaging more than two goal contributions a game, and he has now made a very promising start in the first team-picture.

Six goals and four assists in 14 Bundesliga appearances this term, at such a young age, only underline Moukoko's quality, and if there is even the slightest chance Spurs can sign him, they should throw everything at doing so, as he could lead the line for the club for more than a decade to come.
