Tottenham Hotspur fans in the Transfer Tavern had to endure years of being punished by Thierry Henry across the North London divide, so their delighted to be linked with a player often compared to the Gunners legend.
The Daily Mirror states Spurs are keen to complete a deal for Bordeaux’s Henri Saivet in January, after scouting the player during the Europa League clash with Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.
Available for just £3.5m, and compared to Thierry Henry, the addition of the speedster would be a valued asset to Mauricio Pochettino’s side as they push for a Champions League finish at the end of the season.
The 25-year-old Senegalese international is rated very highly and would add new depth to the Spurs squad, who maintained their terrific unbeaten run with a goalless draw against struggling Chelsea on Sunday afternoon.
