Tottenham fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are rubbing their hands together in excitement after talkSPORT revealed that Spurs have contacted PSG over signing Ezequiel Lavezzi.
The Argentinian international’s future is in doubt at the Ligue 1 champions as rumours have emerged that his boss, Laurent Blanc, is keen to sign Manchester United star Angel Di Maria, who plays in his position.
Which has led to the North London club making a quick move in the hope that they can potentially agree a move early on.
Lavezzi, 30, could ditch Ligue 1 for the Premier League but it will all depend on whether or not PSG make an agreement with United.
Mauricio Pochettino is planning to build a team around the prolific Harry Kane, a player who seems to be around for the long term.
And he hopes to bring his fellow countryman to White Hart Lane as he only has one year remaining on his current contract at the French club, meaning they could sign him for a cut-price fee.
