Taking to Twitter, reliable reporter Matt Law has made a very promising Tottenham Hotspur transfer claim as he shares yet another update involving Wolves star Adama Traore.

The Lowdown: Spurs plotting Traore move...

The Lilywhites and their manager Antonio Conte have been heavily linked with the attacker over the last week, with solid sources claiming that their interest has evolved into negotiations.

Indeed, The Times said that Tottenham are now in talks to sign the 25-year-old from Wolves as Conte already maps out a new role for him in the Spurs squad.

To cope with the right-wing back conundrum, it is believed that the Italian will re-mould Traore into a full-back for his system, with Law now making a promising claim.

The Latest: Traore signing now 'pretty likely'...

According to the reliable Telegraph reporter, when asked how likely the move to Spurs is as things stand, Law claimed it is indeed 'pretty likely'.

Sharing his take as Tottenham enter talks, as per his own information, the journalist also believes that supporters can get 'excited' as Spurs 'hope' to sign him in January.

He explained: "I've never been that fussed about Adama Traore. But I do look at him and think Conte could make him into a really top player. I'd be quite excited if I was a Spurs fan and they manage to get him, as they hope to do."

The Verdict: Exciting first signing for Conte?

Averaging more dribbles per 90 (4.5) than any Spurs player and almost double Lucas Moura in the Premier League this season (WhoScored), it's safe to say that the Spain winger poses a real theat.

Former Tottenham manager Nuno Espirito Santo has raved over Traore's ability in the past, calling him "special and unique", while Wolves legend Steve Bull believes the 25-year-old is a 'world-beater'.

In his piece for The Telegraph, Law claimed that Wolves could even sell for £20m as Tottenham now hope to complete an agreement before January 31.

Nine days into the January transfer window, sealing Conte's first Spurs signing in Traore would certainly be the ideal start to the month.
