Speaking on live TV (via Football Daily), Sky Sports have now backed some big exit news involving Tottenham Hotspur's club record signing Tanguy Ndombele.

The Lowdown: Ndombele unsettled...

Football Insider broke news of Ndombele's desire to leave Spurs recently with the Frenchman telling club chiefs that he would like to move on before August 31.

This was then backed by The Athletic, with Lilywhites boss Nuno Espirito Santo then somewhat hinting upon it in his press conference and claiming it is not his job to convince people to play for Tottenham.

Now, Sky Sports have come out with their own update on the situation.

The Latest: Sky back Ndombele news...

As per the broadcast giant, backing this big development from the last two days, Ndombele has in fact told Tottenham that he wishes to leave N17.

"The breaking news comes from Tottenham," they explained on live TV.

"Tanguy Ndombele has asked Tottenham if he can leave the club, now a little bit earlier we heard from manager Nuno Espirito Santo and he actually confirmed that Ndombele wouldn't be involved against his former club Wolves on Sunday.

"He hasn't featured under Nuno, he wasn't even included in the squad for the Europa Conference League, he was a marquee signing for Mauricio Pochettino back in the summer of 2019."

The Verdict: Blow for Nuno?

Ndombele's skills are of no secret to Spurs supporters, as evident by his sporadic showings under former boss Jose Mourinho last season.

The Portuguese boss once revelled in Ndombele's brief flurry of impressive performances over 2020/2021, calling him an 'incredible' player, while former Spurs keeper Joe Hart even branded him 'unplayable'.

However, moments of his magic have come too few and far between since his arrival from Lyon and it may be time for Tottenham to listen to offers and weigh their options.
