He’s certainly got a lot of potential he’s just yet to live up to it, right Wolves fans? Adama Traore seemed a fantastic bit of business by Wolves when he arrived at the Molineux in early August for £18m, as per the BBC. He may not have had the best of opening campaigns but his talent has shown at times and he still has a lot to build on.
Traore joined having been rejuvenated under Tony Pulis at Middlesborough. Prior to Pulis’ arrival at the Riverside, Traore regularly featured off the bench and sometimes did not even feature in the matchday squad. When the new manager came in during the festive period of 2017, though, we saw a different side to Traore, one full of confidence having faith instilled in him from his manager.
The Spaniard then went on to provide five goals and eight assists in the second half of the season. A stark contrast to the first half of that campaign. So, considering that, it came as no surprise to see that lots of Wolves fans were excited by his transfer.

Though, the vast majority of comments were from Middlesborough fans who were making Wolves fans aware of how lucky they are to have him at their disposal.

Traore’s opening campaign at Wolves may not have gone as he envisaged. Although, at 23 he certainly has time on his hands in a Wolves shirt. Having started just eight Premier League games this season, he may have to bide his time in the West Midlands for consistent game time but as his record at Boro proved, once he starts regularly and is trusted to express himself, he will excel.
