Everton signed Man United outcast Morgan Schneiderlin in the January transfer window of 2017 for £24m.
The France international had not had the greatest spell at Old Trafford after joining from Southampton, and this was a chance to revive his career. He had been one of the most formidable midfielders in the Premier League during his seven-year spell at The Saints, and Everton fans were keen on him rekindling that form.
This is what the fans had to say:

A year and a half later, and Schneiderlin has become one of the most interesting figures at Goodison Park.
Fans are not particularly enamoured by the Frenchman, however, statistically he is a crucial player to The Toffees. He is a consistently high performing passer and tackler in the midfield, alongside Idrissa Gueye.
As a consequence, Schneiderlin has earned the reputation of being Everton’s best player fans love to hate. Unfortunately for the player, it seems very unlikely that the fans are going to change their mind in the future.
