The Football Transfer Tavern is a hive of activity tonight and gossip from The Express has caused a fierce debate to break out at the bar.
The paper suggests that Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchosio has denied recent reports that Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United have made official contact over his services
The 28-year-old has often been linked with a move to England with the three Premier League clubs since last summer.
But now Marchisio has claimed that there is yet to be any contact, and he instead is enjoying life with the Old Lady who is commited to.
Speaking of interest from England, he said: “Sometimes I have received phone calls from agents who told me of the interest of clubs such as Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool.”
He has two-years left on his contract at the Juventus Stadium and his father, who also acts as his agent has confirmed that a new deal is not something his son is thinking about.
“I’ve read that the renewal should be imminent, but Claudio is focused on the season and doesn’t think about the contract,” he said.
“The current agreement expires in 2016 and there is time for talk about it.”
