There is some disappointing news for Arsenal fans here at the Football Transfer Tavern as talkSPORT claim one of their top targets has turned down a move to the club in the summer.
Arsenal have been linked with almost every player who can put on a pair of gloves and keep the ball out of the back of the net as the summer approaches and now it seems that another of their top targets has turned down a chance to move to the Emirates Stadium.
Hamburg stopper Rene Adler has claimed a move does not interest him at this time and noted to Bild that: “I am under contract at Hamburg, this is a fact.
“I can say that since I have arrived, I have never thought of, or considered, leaving the team.”
Arsenal have also been linked with a move for QPR’s Julio Cesar and the Spanish media still feel that a contract could yet be forged with Barcelona stopper Victor Valdes who is refusing to pen an extension past 2014 and could well leave this summer.
