Many expect the Premier League title to end up at either Manchester City or Liverpool come May, and it is not hard to see why.
The Premier League’s current top two teams have the best sets of attack in the division, which include the likes of Mohamed Salah and Raheem Sterling.
Under Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola, the two forwards have been in exceptional form and possess the sort of quality that could decide the fate of the title race.
Mohamed Salah
Salah has been a revelation at Liverpool since joining last summer, proving a lot of people wrong in his debut season with the Merseyside club.
After his previous and unsuccessful stint in the Premier League with Chelsea, the Egyptian arrived at Anfield with a lot of doubts surrounding his big-money move from AS Roma.
However, Salah quickly put those doubts to bed and ended up finishing the season as the Premier League’s top scorer with an incredible 32 goals.
From the right flank, Salah was absolutely menacing with his runs in behind and ability to cut inside with his dangerous left foot before firing a shot towards goal.
This campaign, Salah’s form has since come into question. Yet his tally of six Premier League goals for the season so far is only two less than what the division’s leading scorer Sergio Aguero has managed, putting into the perspective what sort of expectations have been placed upon the 26-year-old.
All in all, Salah has been a world-class addition to Liverpool’s squad and a true masterstroke signing by Klopp.
TT Grade: A*
Raheem Sterling
Unlike Salah, it was a slow start for Sterling following his own huge transfer. The 23-year-old only managed to muster up six Premier League goals back in the 2015/16 season after ditching Liverpool for Manchester City.
However, since then, Sterling has gone from strength to strength with the arrival of Guardiola at the Etihad having evidently done wonders for his development as a footballer.
While his finishing often comes under criticism, Sterling was still able to find the back of the net on 18 occasions in the Premier League last season, a tally that most centre-forwards playing at the top level in this country could not reach.
As well as proving to be a goal-scoring threat, the England international was also a creative outlet after providing 11 assists for his team-mates as Manchester City went on to win the Premier League title in record-breaking style.
With six goals and five assists already to his name this campaign, Sterling should easily match or even beat those numbers and will only continue to improve under a coach such as Guardiola.

TT Verdict:
The numbers alone suggest Salah and Sterling are two of the best attackers in the Premier League and probably even in the world.
The Liverpool and Manchester City forwards, on top of their displays in the Premier League, have also performed exceptionally well in the Champions League.
Out of the two, though, looking at the season Salah just had in front of goal and his finishing overall compared to Sterling, the Egypt international clearly looks to be the more superior player in this moment of time.
