Man City look like they’ll once again be the dominant force in the league this season and although Liverpool will challenge them, City just look too strong.
After signing a new contract with last week, the speculation around Sterling’s departure from the club has ceased which is great news for City as they have one of the best players in Europe on current form.
In their hunt to topple City from the top, Liverpool have been linked with a whole host of players, one of whom being Borussia Dortmund man, Christian Pulisic.
Raheem Sterling

Signed for £49 million a three years ago, Sterling’s arrival was greeted with a lot of fanfare considering the huge fee that City paid for him but over the last few years, the England international has begun to pay back that huge transfer fee.
The talented attacker has been playing at an incredibly high level since he made his debut for Liverpool and under Pep, his game has gone to a new level. Last year, Sterling was superb as he scored 18 goals coupled with 15 assists and formed a devastating City attack which helped the club reach the rare 100 point mark. This year he’s already got six goals in 10 games and is quickly establishing himself as one of the best players in Europe.
At 23, to be playing at the high level that Sterling is currently operating at is quite incredible, the transfer fee may have once been viewed as incredibly high but since then, he’s completely paid the money back.

Christian Pulisic

It’s been a stop-start season for Christian Pulisic this year for American star, Christian Pulisic. The Dortmund man has been struggling with injury this season and as a result, he hasn’t managed to hit full form yet.
Pulisic broke into the first-team at Dortmund at just the age of 17 and has quickly become one of the brightest prospects in European football. Quick and technically gifted with the ball, Pulisic has the rare talent of being able to create as well as score goals.
Although Liverpool have Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mande on the wings adding the talented American would be a huge boost for Liverpool in their hunt for the title.
Signed as a young 16-year-old, it seems as though Dortmund have made another piece of shrewd business as he’s now valued at £40.5 million.

The Verdict
Despite the obvious potential that Pulisic has, due to the incredible form of Raheem Sterling over the last few years, this battle hasn’t been hard to judge. At 23, Sterling’s level of play is absolutely incredible and he should be widely praised for what he’s doing. In the next few years he could become one of the best players in the world.
