The last thing that Aston Villa fans would have wanted is for the international break to arrive as their side have been nothing short of brilliant in the Championship, having won their last four.
Although, the international break gives fans the chance to reflect on their recent form and the current players at the club, with the likes of Kortney Hause and Tyrone Mings impressing at this moment in time.
Of course, Aston Villa may find it difficult to get both of them in on permanent deals in the summer, so setting their sights on one of the two defenders would be a more sensible idea.
With that in mind, let’s compared the two players…
TYRONE MINGS
Tyrone Mings has proved to be one of the signings of the January transfer window in the Championship as he’s been nothing short of dominant at the heart of the defence for the Villans.
Aston Villa had plenty of defensive issues prior to his arrival but he’s completely solved their problems and has spearheaded their push for a play-off place in recent times.
He’s in the form of his life and he’s turned Villa’s season around, so fans will forever be grateful for that.

KORTNEY HAUSE
Some fans may not have recognised Kortney Hause’s name when he joined on loan back in the summer transfer window, but it’s safe to say that he’s made a huge impression in a short space of time.
The central defender has played a key part in Villa’s play-off push of late having formed a formidable partnership with Mings, and he still has plenty more to offer from here on in until the end of the season.
TT GRADE: A-
TT VERDICT:
When comparing these two, it’s safe to say that both players are performing at the top of their game but Mings is the more attractive player at this moment in time, with his versatility also coming in handy.
Southampton are eyeing Mings ahead of the summer transfer window (as per Mirror, 17/03, page 72) (via HITC), so the Villans could face a battle at the end of the season. But, one thing that is certain is the fact that Villa Park would erupt if the Englishman rocked up in the Midlands on a permanent deal as his contributions have been priceless.
