Tyrone Mings may have initially struggled with making that transition from the Championship to the Premier League, but the Aston Villa defender is now truly flourishing in English football’s top flight.
Mings, of course, left Ipswich Town for Bournemouth back in 2015 and failed to make much of an impact in his new surroundings. He made just 23 appearances for the Cherries before joining Aston Villa on loan last January, helping the Midlands club to win promotion.

According to Transfermarkt, just before the start of this season, the 26-year-old had a market valuation of just £4.5m. That has since increased to £25.2m, which is around the price Villa paid to acquire his services permanently, and it is easy to see why that has occurred.
When it comes to blocks made per game in the Premier League this term, no player (minimum of two games, per WhoScored) is averaging more than Mings (1.8). The England international also does not have an average recorded for dribbled past per game, showing how sturdy he has been at the back.
If he keeps this up, you can expect his market valuation to continue to sky rocket.
