‘Utterly outrageous’, ‘Enough is enough’ – Man City fans fume at club announcement

The Man City fans in the Transfer Tavern have been so impressed with the form of Leroy Sane this season. The German has really come of age this season, and amongst an attack made up of some of Europe’s best, he has stood out as a real star.

He has been a regular for Pep Guardiola so far this season, forming a crucial part of one of Europe’s deadliest attacks. Alongside the likes of Kevin De Bruyne and Raheem Sterling, the German has been simply unstoppable.

Unsurprisingly, then, an update regarding his fitness status that has been posted over on the official Man City website has led to some real concern amongst our resident Citizens.

As revealed on the website and via Twitter, Man City have stated that Sane has suffered ankle ligament damage, and whilst no timeframe has been placed on his return, it’s fair to say that he is facing a prolonged spell on the sidelines.

It has come at a bad time for the German, especially with a World Cup on the horizon, and so it will come as no surprise to learn that Man City fans aren’t very happy.

Directing their anger at the horrendous tackle that led to the injury, as well as the prolonged layoff that looks set to take over the German – the Man City fans on Twitter have made their anger known in response to Man City’s reveal.
