With Spurs and Liverpool already showing interest, Aston Villa have entered the race to sign £8m rated midfielder Scott Parker.
The former Chelsea midfielder has impressed with displays in the middle of the park for West Ham this season and with O’Neil indentifying a lack of an authentic holding midfield in his side, he could be just the player to help Villa in their fight for 4th place.
West Ham will be reluctant to let the battling Parker leave as he is playing an integral part in the Hammer’s battle to avoid relegation but with financial problems at Upton Park, Villa as well as Liverpool and Spurs may just try their luck and see if they can force West Ham’s hand.
