Many Aston Villa fans have reacted to a latest transfer report which claims that a deal is being discussed to potentially sign Bertrand Traore from Lyon.
Villa manager Dean Smith has been desperately trying to add some attacking options after seeing the likes of Mbwana Samatta, Keinan Davis and Wesley all struggle to find consistency last season. By bringing in Ollie Watkins from Brentford last week, Smith has added plentiful firepower, given that the striker scored 26 goals in the Championship last term.
With the Premier League season underway, Villa are now being linked with Lyon striker Traore, with a latest report claiming that talks are underway over a £19m transfer. The ex-Chelsea man has scored 33 goals during his time with Lyon, appearing 126 times for last season’s Champions League semi-finalists.
Reacting to the report linking the striker with a move to England, some Villa fans seemed unconvinced over the 25-year-old’s ability:
