Many Aston Villa fans have reacted to a transfer report linking the club with a move for Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson.
After suffering relegation with the Cherries, the four-cap England international will seemingly want to find a route back to the Premier League.
Villa, who stayed up on the final day of the season thanks to a 1-1 draw with West Ham United, will look to make some improvements to their squad and it is expected that boss Dean Smith is keen to add a new striker.
Having seen the likes of Wesley, Mbwana Samatta, and Keinan Davis all struggle to find consistent goalscoring form, Smith is now being linked with a move for Wilson.
The Telegraph were the first to report that a deal for 28-year-old, who has netted 41 times in 126 Premier League matches, could emerge; and that has been followed up by a report from Sky Sports claiming that a bid is being prepared.
Reacting to the transfer report which was shared by Twitter account @AVFC_News, these Villa fans gave an opinion on a potential move – while many had their reservations, one supporter claimed that they would prefer Wilson to fellow Villa transfer target Ollie Watkins of Brentford.
If we pay 30M for Wilson but can’t pay 25M for Watkins we are finished as a club

We’re going backwards down the pecking order. This is such a frustrating period, as many clubs have done most of their business and we have nobody as yet

He scored 8 in 35 games , he doesn’t offer anything.
