Manchester City legend Vincent Kompany has tweeted a photo in his new colours.
Kompany arrived at Eastlands from Anderlecht in 2008 and left 11 years later a club legend with ten major trophies to his name including four Premier League titles, two FA Cups and four English League Cups.
The defender, affectionately known as “Vinnie” by those who supported him in the North West and beyond, played a vital role in City’s recent title-winning season by scoring “that” goal.
Ah, yes. What a hit. The 35-yard strike against Leicester City was special for so many reasons. The way it catapulted off his foot, nearly hitting Harry Maguire’s head, before homing in on the top corner is an image City fans will never forget.
Ensuring his side stayed ahead in the title race with one game to go, it really was something special and won the Nissan Goal of the Season award.
The Belgium international, who now player-manages Belgium giants Anderlecht, recently posted a photo that will surely pull on the heartstrings of City fans.

Captioned simply with the words “#RSCA” (Royal Sporting Club Anderlecht) the image depicts the 33-year-old proudly stood donning his new colours surrounded by the purple and white seats of the Constant Vanden Stock Stadium.
