The Manchester City supporters have been in fine spirits in the Transfer Tavern since their derby day victory over Manchester United last weekend.
Manchester City collected a season-defining victory in the Manchester derby last weekend to claim their 14th straight victory in the Premier League. Their record breaking start has seen them storm a march at the top of the table and open up an 11 point gap after only 16 matches this season. Plenty of pundits and fans around the world are beginning to believe that the title belongs to City, but the Citizens propping up the bar are adamant that there is still plenty of work to do despite their incredible start.
Next up for Pep Guariola’s City slickers is a trip to The Liberty Stadium to face relegation threatened Swansea City who currently sit rock-bottom of the table.
Ahead of their midweek fixture, Guardiola delivered a press-conference in which the club’s mini injury crisis in defence was a notable talking point.

When the Spaniard was asked about City’s plans for the upcoming transfer window, he admitted that the club are ‘thinking about it’ because of the lack of available options in defensive positions.
And a handful of the City fans were keen to reiterate the need for defensive reinforcements, whilst others simply sung the praises of Guardiola’s managerial ability and eloquence in-front of the media.
