Reds fans here in the Tavern are feeling a sense of disappointment after failing to close things out at the weekend.
After being pegged back in the dying embers of their Saturday night clash against fellow Champions League challengers Chelsea, the Scousers in the pub were dreaming of what would have been had they managed to hold onto their lead.
In an unforgiving league, with a drop in points being another teams’ gain, it’s vital to make the most of promising opportunities.
However, one positive that the Liverpool faithful can take away from the weekends game was the return to first-team football for Adam Lallana, who was brought on for the last couple of minutes after his thigh injury sustained in August.
After such a long time out, Liverpool will relish the added squad depth and quality that this man brings, as one of the most exciting and skilful players in the Premier League.
Following the return of the midfielder, Liverpool’s Twitter page took to welcoming him with open arms, after an act of kindness displayed how great it was to see him back in action.
We didn’t get the perfect result, but it was great to see this man back in action at Anfield yesterday
