‘Welcome to Manchester United James Rodriguez’ - Man United fans react to reports

There’s nothing quite like a big transfer rumour to cheer up the Manchester United fans who were drowning their sorrows in the Transfer Tavern.

After yesterday’s loss to Tottenham Hotspur, the Red Devils around the bar desperately need their spirits lifted. So, reports emanating out of Spain claiming Real Madrid superstar James Rodriguez had agreed a move to Old Trafford have gone down a storm.

He is reportedly willing to move to England, should United qualify for next season’s Champions League.

The Colombian is one of the biggest names in world football and, while United probably have more pressing concerns at hand, will no doubt light the fires of excitement at the Theatre of Dreams.

One of the most expensive players of all time and the star of the 2014 World Cup, rumours regarding the 25-year-old are always likely to spark quite the reaction online.
