Wenger must consider signing these 3 Brazilians for Arsenal in January

Arsene Wenger has brought some of Europe’s best footballers to Arsenal in recent years…

The legendary Arsenal manager has made a living out of buying some of Europe’s best young talents, and then turning them into the best players in the world within a matter of years.

Henry, Bellerin, Koscielny – the list goes on and on; and Wenger was responsible for turning them into the incredible players that they are today.

Whilst Wenger has, without doubt, had a lot of success in buying European stars, our landlord in the Transfer Tavern thinks he would benefit from looking outside of the continent.

There are a wealth of players across the world that don’t have a European passport – but could still prove to be fruitful acquisitions for Arsene Wenger.

He could look towards African or Asian countries, granted – but no country has produced more high quality, exciting young talent than Brazil.

With that said, here are THREE Brazilians Arsenal should sign in January to light up the Emirates…..

Thiago Maia

Thiago Maia

Thiago Maia would be an option for the future, but he is destined for huge things.

He is a young Brazilian midfielder currently playing for Santos, and he can be described as a defensive midfielder that is strong in the tackle but also proficient with the ball at his feet.

His frame is slight, but at just 18-years-old, he has years ahead of him to improve.

Wenger could be the man to get the best out of the young midfielder – and signing him now would no doubt prove to be a shrewd investment.

Our landlord thinks that he could be great alongside a player like Granit Xhaka.

Marquinhos

Marquinhos has often been touted as a dream signing by the Arsenal fans in the Football Transfer Tavern – and January could be the time to pounce.

The talented youngster is versatile and strong at the back, and Arsenal could offer him the perfect destination at which to grow as a footballer and hit the heights of which he was expected following his move to PSG.

Mustafi and Koscielny are, of course, Arsenal’s first choice central defenders – but beyond that, Arsenal have very little quality depth.

Marquinhos could be the perfect man to replace Gabriel or Mertesacker.

 Fabinho

Fabinho

This signing would likely be consequential, but if Hector Bellerin leaves Arsenal – as he has been touted to; Fabinho could be an excellent replacement.

The young Brazilian defender has been attracting interest from the likes of Man Utd as of late, and his fast-paced, attacking style would be the perfect precursor to the departure of Bellerin.

He is destined to make a big-money move to the Premier League eventually, and if Arsenal are in need of defensive reinforcement; they would struggle to do better than young Fabinho.

The next Dani Alves? Our landlord reckons so…
