Metro has managed to get all our Arsenal fans crowding around the bar here in the Football Transfer Tavern after noting that Arsene Wenger has revealed the secret to Alexis Sanchez’s success.
Wenger was speaking about his star man and noted to the official Arsenal website: “Alexis has played in Italy, in Spain and he moved clubs – that of course helps.”
Now while we think that having the ability to settle in other countries and not experiencing the homesickness suffered by some players will have helped, not to mention the Spanish speaking players at Arsenal helping him to bed in, at the end of the day the fact that Alexis wants to work hard and is desperate to prove himself is the key to his success.
In fact, over by the bar one of our punters shouts out that if all of Arsenal’s players had the same work ethic that saw the winger tracking back and helping his team out against Middlesbrough in the FA Cup, they would be challenging for the Premier League title!
