‘Wenger will be furious’, ‘He’s a winner’ - Fans erupt after Arsenal reportedly attempt to secure major deal

According to the Evening Standard, Alexis Sanchez has been offered a deal to stay at Arsenal worth a whopping £300,000-per-week, with Arsenal seemingly desperate to see the deal come to fruition.

Of course, this comes after a season of speculation and ifs and buts, with the Gunners in the Transfer Tavern taken on a bit of a wild ride in recent months. Amid turmoil on the pitch, it has been a disaster off it – with the Gunners trying, seemingly in vein, to secure their key players down to new long-term contracts.

This supposed £300,000-per-week offer, though, could be enough to tempt Sanchez to stay at the club – with Wenger and co seemingly making movements to start their summer business off right.

Unsurprisingly, this has generated quite the response in the pub, with many fans in euphoria, though it appears as though the Arsenal fans on Twitter are being slightly more cynical. Indeed, many think that a deal may not even be in the offing – though many are still dreaming that it is true…
