West Brom fans on Twitter slam team’s defence after Nottingham Forest draw

West Brom were able to salvage a point last night in the Championship after coming back from behind twice against Nottingham Forest at the Hawthorns.

A controversial Jay Rodriguez penalty at the death ensured the points would be shared between the two sides in a 2-2 draw where the striker’s team were extremely sloppy.

A weak ball into midfield from defender Craig Dawson resulted in Forest’s opener, and Rodriguez has since come out to question his side.

“Sometimes we’re our own worst enemy. We know how well we can play football, it’s just putting it together on a match-day,” Rodriguez told Sky Sports (via Birmingham Live) after the game.

“It’s something to work on, and we’ll continue to work hard. We’ll review this and look to the game on Saturday.”

Looking at the manner in which West Brom conceded their first goal and how early it came in the match, a bit of frustration is understandable.

If the Baggies want to return to the Premier League at the first time of asking, then such mistakes must be eradicated.
