West Brom team news: Moore handed huge boost ahead of Leeds visit

West Bromwich Albion will be looking to get their Championship season back up and running when they host Leeds United at The Hawthorns on Saturday evening.

The Baggies have been on a poor run of form, having been unable to record a victory in their last four matches, whilst the visitors are sat atop of the league table prior to the weekend’s fixtures.

Darren Moore will want to see an improved effort from his side and, according to a match preview by Sky Sports, it appears he will have been handed a huge boost ahead of the game.

Dwight Gayle, Gareth Barry and Kieran Gibbs are all expected to be fit for the encounter against the Whites.

Gayle and Gibbs were both forced off in the heavy defeat to Derby last month with respective calf and hip injuries.

Barry has been unavailable for their last four matches with his own calf injury.

Kyle Bartley could also make a return to the side after he served his one-match suspension, whilst Chris Brunt is expected to miss out with a hamstring injury following their 1-0 defeat to Hull City last weekend.

The Verdict:

West Brom will be delighted to have the likes of Gayle, Barry, Gibbs and Bartley available for the game against Leeds, which will be a huge boost to Moore and his side’s chances of getting a positive result.

The Baggies have missed Gayle’s goals in recent games as their form in the final third appears to have dried up since a blistering start.

Bartley, who once spent time on loan at Leeds, will also be a welcomed addition in the backline, along with Gibbs, as they will need to be at their very best to get anything from the game against Marcelo Bielsa’s side.
