West Ham dealt yet another irritating blow as turbulent season continues

West Ham fans in the Transfer Tavern have endured a difficult campaign this term, and they’re expressing their concerns ahead of a crucial summer transfer window.

Sat seven points above the relegation zone, West Ham’s Premier League status is still not mathematically secure but the punters in the bar are confident they’ll avoid the drop and our now focusing their discussions around potential summer activity.

Their optimism has been dashed this morning though, as The Telegraph reports star-man Michail Antonio may have played his last game for the Hammers as the England international is eyeing a summer exit.

Currently injured, and out for the remainder of the season, Antonio has been West Ham’s shining light this season but he’s been left disappointed with fresh contract offers handed to him, which include wages significantly lower than January signings Robert Snodgrass and Jose Fonte.

With Antonio also seeking to push his way into Gareth Southgate’s England squad next summer, the 27-year-old is plotting a summer exit and our landlord thinks he’ll move across London to join Chelsea.

The Blues have been linked with Antonio’s signature ahead of their return to the Champions League next season, with their fans in the bar believing he’d be an excellent wing-back in Antonio Conte’s system.

Where should Michail Antonio move to if he leaves West Ham? Let us know in the comments below!
