West Ham fans said their goodbyes to Adrian when he left the club at the end of his contract over the summer, although none of them would have been able to predict what would happen next, as the Spaniard has become Liverpool’s Super Cup hero.

The Spanish shot-stopper started the European Super Cup for the Reds, his first start for the European Champions after Alisson Becker was injured against Norwich City last Friday night, and it looks like the ex-West Ham man is in line for a few more starts.
West Ham supporters have been very complimentary of their former goalkeeper too, with the tweets below showing just how highly thought of the 32-year-old still is amongst the Hammers, with the vast majority of Irons delighted for their former man.
You can read the Hammers’ thoughts on Adrian’s success here:
Absolutely delighted for the guy. Luck favours the brave. A true professional for us, without a club and now a hero for Liverpool. Unbelievable!
