West Ham fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are beginning to get very frustrated as they are still waiting for a marquee signing to come through the door at their new Stadium, after being linked with a host of big names.
According to The Sun, the Hammers are looking to upset their London rivals, Crystal Palace, by stealing Liverpool’s Christian Benteke from under their noses.
Along with some other leading strikers such as Alexandre Lacazette and Carlos Tevez, the former Aston Villa forward is high up on Slaven Bilic’s shortlist and it looks as though he is keen on butting in on Alan Pardew’s £30 million move.
It’s being reported that the Belgian forward and his representatives are aware of interest from West Ham and are due to have talks with them in the near future.
