Many associated with West Ham may have been worried when Michail Antonio limped off injured last weekend in the draw against Manchester City.
However, the latest update from The Athletic suggests he could be in contention to face Liverpool on Saturday night. After various West Ham news pages posted the news on Twitter, many Irons fans have shared their views on the injury update.
Earlier this month, Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp heaped a lot of praise on the forward. He said: “He is frightening. Ability, skill, he scores goals. What a threat to any defence.”
Antonio is a crucial asset to David Moyes’ squad, with three goals so far this term and eight goals in the last six Premier League games of last season (Transfermarkt). Therefore, it would be a huge boost if he is back to face the reigning Premier League champions this weekend.
Here is how Hammers fans are reacting to this Antonio update:
Is it worth the risk though? If it’s not 100% fully fit and we play him….
