Sky Sports journalist Michael Bridge has heard whispers that West Ham United are looking at Arnaut Danjuma.
Earlier this month journalist Mark McAdam reported that AFC Bournemouth had turned down a €15million offer for the Netherlands international from Europa League winners Villarreal.
Danjuma was in inspired form last season in the Championship, as he scored 17 goals (15 in the league and two in the play-offs) and provided eight more for his teammates.
Bournemouth missed out on promotion back to the Premier League after defeat in the play-off semi-final to eventual winners Brentford.
After such an impressive campaign, it’s easy to see why there is so much speculation surrounding Danjuma’s future, with Bridge telling Transfer Tavern: “I heard whispers about West Ham looking as well. I think even Bournemouth fans know he’s not staying in the Championship, so they just need to get the right fee for him. Leeds have been mentioned as well, so yeah wait and see.”
Danjuma operated mainly as a left-winger last season, playing 26 games there for the Cherries, but he did also feature on the right-wing, as well as a second striker and a centre-forward.
With plenty of interest in Danjuma, clubs are going to have act swiftly if they are to fend off the interest of other clubs and land the signature of the Bournemouth winger.
