West Ham should consider making a move for these 2 attackers this summer – agreed?

The West Ham fans in the Transfer Tavern are slightly underwhelmed after a disappointing season, despite so much hope that they would kick on this season after last year’s success…

A slow start to the season left the Hammers deep in relegation trouble, until a quick fire double of wins in December over Burnley and Hull seemed to galvanise West Ham, as they began to charge up the table.

January saw the controversial departure of Dimitri Payet, which seemed to upset the apple cart a little bit at the London Stadium, and West Ham were struggling once again.

However, the Hammers secured their Premier League safety with games to spare, but the aim now is to build again, but in order to do so, West Ham seriously need to bolster their attack.

Our landlord believes that for the Irons to kick in, they need to invest in a striker, so with that said, I will take a look at two forwards who could bolster the West Ham attack…

Kelechi Iheanacho

The Manchester City youngster seems to be out of favour under Pep Guardiola, and it would appear that the Nigerian will move on this summer, with West Ham looking a likely destination.

The former Barcelona boss brought in Gabriel Jesus in January, which in turn pushed Iheanacho down the pecking order, and it would now appear that Guardiola is happy to let him depart.

West Ham are believed to be interested in Iheanacho, and our punters believe adding the Nigerian to the Hammers attack could make West Ham a force to be reckoned with next season.

Michy Batshuayi

One of Antonio Conte’s first Chelsea signings, Batshuayi struggled for any sort of regular football, largely due to the form of Diego Costa.

The Belgian netted five times in 20 Premier League appearances last season, not a bad return for his first season in English football, but his lack of starts could tempt him into making an early departure from Stamford Bridge.

The 23-year-old is clinical in front of goal, and his pace to run in behind is enough to frighten defenders, which is sure to make him a sought after man during the window.
