West Ham fans are debating whether Jesse Lingard would be a good signing for the Hammers after it is being reported by GOAL that the attacking midfielder is surplus to requirements at Manchester United.
The England international has had a tough season, scoring twice in all competitions in his 35 appearances, once in the FA Cup and once in the Europa League via Transfermarkt. Indeed, featuring in the starting eleven has also been a struggle for him in the Premier League, where he has only started nine times.
Across his Premier League career at United, Lingard has played 131 games scoring only 17 times and assisting 12 times, which are barely convincing figures despite the number of trophies he’s won. Meanwhile, while it’s been a difficult campaign for the Irons, they do boast a number of options in attacking midfield when you consider the likes of Felipe Anderson, Manuel Lanzini and Pablo Fornals are all available.
