West Ham United: Fans don’t miss Antonio Nocerino

A lot of West Ham fans have flooded to a post on Twitter about former Iron Antonio Nocerino and their replies highlight that they clearly do not miss the Italian.

Fan page COYIrons wished the player a happy birthday and supported with the question: “Remember when he joined in the 2013/14 season?”

Many fans have been quick to reply with jokes, with one saying “who,” clearly to highlight that the centre-midfielder was a poor signing for the East London side.

It is understandable to see why fans have been quick to forget the player, as he only made 10 appearances during his loan spell from Serie A side AC Milan, per Transfermarkt. He was signed as part of a double swoop by Sam Allardyce, with Marco Borriello also joining (BBC Sport). However, the midfielder only managed to play a total of 256 minutes in the Premier League, and was only given two starts.

The 35 year-old has now retired, but enjoyed more successful spells in his career at AC Milan, SSD Palermo and Orlando City.

Here is how Hammers fans reacted to the post:
