West Ham United: Fans react to David Moyes’ post-match comments

Fans of West Ham United have been reacting to a post on Twitter, in which David Moyes reflected on the club’s loss to Manchester United at the weekend.

In the clip, Moyes looked back at the 3-1 loss to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side, a game that West Ham appeared to be in control of throughout the opening stages, eventually taking the lead in the match through Tomas Soucek’s header on 38 minutes.

However, with Pablo Fornals hitting the woodwork and Sebastien Haller slipping after he had rounded Dean Henderson in the United goal, the Hammers took just a one-goal lead into the break.

And, in the second half, Moyes’ side were made to rue their missed first-half opportunities, as the introduction of Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford at half-time proved to have a massive impact on the course of the match.

Fernandes assisted Paul Pogba’s 68th-minute equaliser before Mason Greenwood gave United the lead just three minutes later, with Rashford going on to seal the win for Solskjaer’s side on 78 minutes.

And, speaking in his post-match interview, Moyes claimed that his side’s big failing was not scoring the second goal of the game during their period of dominance, as well as not responding when Greenwood scored to put United ahead.

However, with summer signing Said Benrahma being left on the bench for 75 minutes of the match, many West Ham fans, who were reacting to Moyes’ comments on Twitter, questioned why the £19.8 million-rated winger was not brought on sooner, as well as calling for Benramha to be in the starting XI in the club’s next fixture.
