West Ham United: Fans react to Jarrod Bowen’s comments

Fans of West Ham United have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relayed comments made by Jarrod Bowen regarding the club’s defeat to Manchester United last weekend.

Speaking to the club’s official website, the 23 year-old looked back on West Ham’s 3-1 defeat against Manchester United on Saturday, stating his belief that the result was ‘really harsh’ on his side, while also admitting that West Ham shot themselves in the foot by ‘not taking the chances’ they created in the fixture.

He continued: “It’s a lesson for us to learn. No-one misses on purpose but it’s just about learning to take our chances and stay on top of the game and put the game to bed when we should have.”

In the fixture itself, West Ham dominated the first half, with Bowen and Pablo Fornals combined having more shots than the entire Manchester United team. Sebastien Haller also missed a massive chance to make it 2-0, slipping at the vital moment after rounding goalkeeper Dean Henderson.

Despite their early dominance, David Moyes’ side went into half time just one goal to the good, and, in the second half of the fixture, were punished for their lack of cutting edge, as United scored three goals without reply to take all three points from the London Stadium.
