Recent rumours have suggested that West Ham are interested in Manchester United player Jesse Lingard, and a lot of the fanbase are reacting to the news.
According to 90min, via Hammers News, the attacking midfielder will be allowed to leave if he wants to in the summer, with fellow Premier League side Everton also keeping tabs on the player.
The England international has made 202 appearances for the Red Devils, scoring 31 goals and providing 20 assists, via Transfermarkt, however he has only managed two goals and two assists this campaign, and these have come in the Europa League and the domestic cups.
The last time he made a goal contribution in the Premier League was back on the 29th January 2019, when he picked up an assist against Burnley. His last goal in England’s top flight was back in December 2018 against Cardiff.

Clearly the player has struggled with both form and confidence as of late, so maybe a move could be the best thing for him, with the London Stadium now thought to be a potential destination.
Manager David Moyes knows Lingard well from his time in charge of the Red Devils back in 2013. The player scored the first Manchester United goal in the Moyes era, via TheBootRoom, in a pre-season friendly.

If we’re gonna sign Lingard then I don’t want football to ever come back. https://t.co/hSZnCtIPSz

Unsure as to why West Ham would want Jesse Lingard given his recent decline and lack of consistency despite commanding huge wages. Eberechi Eze from QPR would be a much more viable option for West Ham both short term and long term.
