West Ham and manager Slaven Bilic have had a terrific Premier League season, finishing 7th in joint second highest ever league finish.
Bilic has propelled the Hammers from mid-table strugglers to top four challengers in what has been a fantastic season for the former Croatia boss, and his West Ham players alike.
With the move to the Olympic Stadium now in sight, the pair have a bight future ahead together and the promise of European football – having qualified for the Europa League qualifying stages – will only further improve the club’s prospects in the coming years, not to mention attracting some of Europe’s biggest stars.
Transfer rumours have had West Ham fans salivating at the thought of next season, with Michy Batshuayi, Jamie Vardy and Roberto Pereyra just a few of the superstars to be linked with a move to the Hammers this summer.
We spoke to our locals at the Transfer Tavern who told us their dream West Ham midfield for next season ……..

LM – Dimitri Payet
Free kick extraordinaire Payet had an unbelievable first season with the Hammer’s, winning their Player of the Year award, as well as being nominated for the PFA Player of the Year award and named in the PFA Team of the Year.
West Ham will be desperate to hold onto this season’s talisman, who is set to enjoy a first international tournament with his home country France this summer.
CM – Havard Nordtveit
Signed after his contract expired at Borussia Monchengladbach, the former Arsenal man – who didn’t make an appearance for the club during his three year tenure – was being monitored by Barcelona and Liverpool also.
The Hammers beat of the competition however and secured the services of one of the Bundesliga’s surprise performers of last season.
CM – Cheikhou Kouyaté
This boy covers some ground.
The colossal 6”4 Senegal International seems to pop up all over the place, often starting the Hammers’ attacks from the back having won the ball in his own half.
It’s possible the former Anderlecht man has gone under the radar this season due to the success of N’Golo Kante at Leicester; but the pair are almost one in the same.
RM – Michail Antonio
Would have been the Hammer’s player of the year if it weren’t for Payet, Antonio has had an excellent debut Premier League campaign having made the step up from Championship side Nottingham Forrest last summer.
11 goals in all competitions was a fine return for a man who was finding his feet in the Premier League. Antonio will only get better.
CAM – Nolito
The former Barcelona man and current Celta Vigo ace is allegedly subject to interest from the Hammers, who would have to pay in the region of £18 million pound for his services.
Called up to Vincent Del Bosque’s Spain squad for the Euro’s ahead of Isco, Saul Niguez and Diego Costa, the 29-year-old is one of the most exciting and unpredictable attacking midfielders in Europe.
