Watching the bore draw this afternoon between Aston Villa and Wolverhampton Wanderers it didn’t take me long to spot a pretty alarming quantity of unoccupied seats at Villa Park.
So can supporters of either side explain this mystery?
Clearly the odds are stacked against you all being psychic. Nobody could have predicted that the game was going to be quite that dull. So that leaves the fact the game was on television or ticket prices or were you in the pub watching on a dodgy stream or you genuinely hate McLeish that much?
Whatever the reasons, I’d be interested to hear them as to why such an early game in the Premiership schedule was so poorly attended. One figure I heard quoted was that there were in excess of nine thousand less in attendance for this game than the corresponding fixture in March.
Ouch.

i think it has something to do with multiple reasons, not making excuses here.
1. Bank Holiday weekend, people away.
2. Game’s on TV
3. £38 a ticket!
4. Mid day kick off.
5. McCleish
6. Lack of investment from Randy.
7. Fans not feeling respected by the club.
Blue noses warned us we wouldn’t score too many with Big Eck and so many players have left. To be honest watching home games under MON was bad enough at least the Frenchman gave us entertainment.

I personally think more people should bouycott Villa Park, I think Randy and Krulak have shown an utter disregard for the fans. The only way they will learn is if we take away the finances that help this club function. All of sudden Randy has obviously lost his interest and just want a profit making organization – wrong industry, if that’s really the case he needs to sell up. If we get an injury to one of our key 3 players(bent, gabby or nzogbia) were in trouble! The really frustrating thing is Rafa and 30m would see us start competing for champs league again! Really starting to miss the O’Neill days!
I think all you fans are deluded. You blane the manager for you not attending? Pathetic excuse. Get behind your team. Players and managers come and go all the time. The club will always remain. How do you expect the club to be able to move on and compete if you are thinking of boycotting villa park? Pathetic excusr again! I agree the prices are a little high, but you can get seats in the north lower for around £25! Nobody is askin you all to pay £38! We are no man utd or do we have an endless pit of money like Man City. Why are villa fans so fickle? Grow up and get behind your team. We are yet to lose a league match in 3 games. Thats a lot better than under houllier! So dont even back track and say you prefered the football under him because you all used to moan then aswell! END.
