Our Liverpool fans here in the Transfer Tavern are hoping with all they’ve got that their side is going to keep hold of this top four spot they’ve got at the moment.
Indeed, it looks in their own hands at the moment now and if they keep winning they will surely be back in the Champions League for next season.
Should that happen, then, they’re bound to be able to bring in some top players to bolster their desperately thin squad and James Rodriguez could be one to arrive.
That’s according to Guillem Balague, at least, who, when asked during his regular Sky Sports Q&A whether such a deal could happen and whether the Reds were interested, replied:
“Of course they are, but they aren’t the only one. Liverpool are realistic and I think they realise James is looking for a different type of team.”
Certainly, then, a big move like this could occur for the Reds though it appears other clubs are also in the frame.
Indeed, Balague went on to say:
“He would like to go to a club like Chelsea or Manchester United.”
Liverpool will have to really fight if they want him, then, and these latest comments have certainly been reacted to on Twitter.
