‘Will probably go to Spurs and become the best’ - Man Utd fans react after player transfer rumours

The Man Utd fans in the Transfer Tavern have had high hopes for Adnan Januzaj for years…

The Belgian midfielder has been in England for several years, having signed for Man Utd in 2011. Since making his debut two years later, he has gone on to make 50 Premier League appearances for the club – with the Red Devils’ brass clearly impressed by him.

However, in recent years, he career has stalled. Unable to hold down a regular place in the Man Utd first team, he has been shipped out on loan several times – with a spell at Sunderland currently underway for the midfielder.

A few of the Man Utd fans in the Transfer Tavern have been speculating over whether the player could return at the end of the season, but now it doesn’t appear as though that is the case. Indeed, the Telegraph are reporting that Mourinho is ready to listen to offers for him.

As expected, this has drawn a mixed response from the Man Utd fans on Twitter – with many always hoping that he would actually make it at Old Trafford – and one fan even concerned that a Tottenham switch could be on the cards. This is a pretty relevant topic, as it represents an even bigger issue at Old Trafford. Whilst Tottenham keep progressing young players and developing talent, it seems as though quality players are falling by the wayside at Man Utd.

In all, the Man Utd fans on Twitter aren’t too happy about Man Utd’s youth system…
