On one hand, Wilshere is, undoubtedly, one of the Premier League’s finest players – and Arsenal are a club that demand to have the best players in the country.
However, on the contrary, Wilshere has seriously struggled with injury lately, and given that he hasn’t been much of a standout figure at the Vitality Stadium this season – does he really deserve to get into the Arsenal team ahead of the likes of Xhaka, Coquelin and Elneny?
Unsurprisingly, it is a topic that has completely divided opinion – but with Man City boss Pep Guardiola recently praising the Englishman – a few of the fans have suggested that Man City could come in for him over the summer.

Arsenal Role
Firstly, to discover whether the deal would actually happen, you have to consider whether Arsenal would actually want to sell him.
He is highly-rated at Arsenal, but his role has diminished – which led to his loan to Bournemouth – and you have to wonder whether he would actually get into the first team.
Wenger has the likes of Xhaka, Elneny, Coquelin, Ramsey and Cazorla to choose from when he has a fully fit midfield, and you can’t imagine that Wilshere will get more game time than any of those.
In that sense, if a big enough offer can come in – a sale would definitely make sense.
Suitability
Simply put, Jack Wilshere is the perfect Pep Guardiola player.
Slight, technical and quick – Guardiola has built sides upon players of Wilshere’s ilk in the past, and you can imagine that he would be the sort of player that the Spaniard would look to build around once again.
What’s more, as an Englishman, he would also add to Man City’s homegrown quota – which is growing increasingly important.
If he is fully fit, Guardiola could make him a star.
