Our Newcastle fans here in the Transfer Tavern are still trying to work out how they drew with Leeds last night after what should really have been three points.
The Magpies were the dominant force for large swathes of the game in the north-east yesterday evening but instead of managing to hold on to their slender 1-0 lead, they let Chris Wood equalise right at the end of the game.
Certainly, then, it was a match the hosts really should have won but the Magpies’ supporters are trying to see the positives from the performance – of which there were many.
Indeed, one of those has to be the performance of Aleksandar Mitrovic who was a real nuisance throughout the game in the attacking areas.
It was a showing Newcastle fans know he is capable of, too, and in light of it they were quick to comment on Twitter:
