The Manchester City fans in the Transfer Tavern have been ripping into Manchester United’s Spanish midfielder, Ander Herrera after a video has emerged of him spitting on the City crest whilst walking off the pitch in Saturday’s derby. United overcame a 2-0 half-time deficit to win the game 3-2 and force their city rivals to wait for the Premier League crown.

The Spaniard is to go unpunished by the FA for the incident after claiming it was unintentional, although it hasn’t stopped the City fans propping our bar up from bemoaning the midfielder for showing a total lack of class. The Citizens were obviously frustrated by the result after throwing away a lead and gifting their neighbours three points, although they have a solid foundation for complaint with Herrera’s spitting incident. Spitting in football has never been tolerated and just this season, West Ham defender, Arthur Masuaku served a six-game ban for spitting at Wigan’s Nick Powell.
The main talking point of the day was obviously the lack of Manchester City’s Premier League crown. The Sky Blues will no doubt go on to secure the title in the coming weeks, although the fans were all hoping they could do it at the expense of their Manchester rivals. The club has a quick turn around before their next game and will have to put the derby behind them quickly as they shape up to face Liverpool at The Etihad tomorrow with a 3-0 deficit from the first leg to overturn.

Disgraceful team led by disgraceful manager has disgraceful players. City is class above them

I will unfollow him on all social media outlets . that's why he can't make the Spanish national team

Ander Herrera is overrated and completely unworthy of being the topic of any conversation

Doesn't matter what club you support, this is completely unnecessary and disrespectful. I'd be appalled if a City player did this to any other club, but our players know not to behave like this because they have class.
