The Sun is reporting that Nuno Espirito Santo will become Atletico Madrid’s number one target to replace Diego Simeone if he departs for Paris Saint-Germain this summer.
The La Liga giants are expecting to part ways with the Argentinian manager, who has delivered three domestic and four European trophies in his nine-year reign at Atleti. With PSG rumoured to be keen on Simeone, The Sun reports that Atletico Madrid will turn their attention to Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo.
Nuno being linked with such a famous job is high praise indeed, and arguably well deserved. The Portuguese manager has taken Wolves from the EFL Championship to Champions League contention in less than three years, but fans at the Molineux are having none of this rumour.
