Wolverhampton Wanderers: Fans react to transfer link with Carlos Vinicius

Lots of Wolverhampton Wanderers fans have reacted to a transfer link for Benfica striker Carlos Vinicius after Record (via Talking Wolves) claimed that the Midlands club have ‘reserved’ €60m (roughly £53.5m) for his signature in the upcoming summer transfer window.

As per the report, Wolves had a deal to sign him from Napoli last summer but could not get a work permit. However, that status has now changed as he is enjoying a fine season in Portuguese football so far. The 25-year old has scored 20 goals and provided 12 assists in 36 appearances in all competitions this season, according to Transfermarkt.

However, some supporters may question what this means for Raul Jimenez, as a few have speculated whether their star talisman may be leaving if they are linked with Vinicius. One fan in particular simply commented ‘bye bye Raul’ whilst another asked whether the transfer link means that the 29-year old could be on his way, to which they responded: ‘I very much hope not!’

Indeed, given his record in front of goal, Vinicius may prove to be a shrewd signing for Wolves, but it may not be worth it if it comes at the expense of top scorer Jimenez.
